    Hi. I've got a route planned which takes me from the Durmitor National Park in Montenegro to the border crossing into Albania at Vermosh. On MyRouteApp using the HERE routing, the indicated route follows the 'P4' road with no issues.

    However, I recently saw a post from another traveller on Facebook querying if this road is closed, as Google Maps shows it as impassable. Various replies from in-country said that the road is indeed currently closed and will likely be for the whole of the summer, due to a massive rockfall.

    I checked on Google - and between Dobrilovina and Gojakovići on the P4, there is indeed a no-go symbol indicating that the road is closed.

    I then checked back on MRA - using HERE and TomTom everything appears fine. Using OpenStreetMap, a big detour is shown, but with no explanation.

    I would have expected MRA to have picked up on this closure, and am surprised that I'm now having to check my routes using Google Maps just in case.

    Am I doing something wrong ? Have I missed a setting that would show the road closure.

    Thanks in advance for any advice ...

    Regards Jem

      @Jem-Cotton Do you use the Silver/Gold subscription? You could try to enable/disbale the seasonal closures option under toolkit. Have you tried this?

        @Jem-Cotton said in Closed Roads not recognised (HERE, TomTom) in Montenegro:

        Gojakovići

        TomTom is also not showing the road as closed.

        So only Google knows about it. If the map supplier (Here, TomTom) are not aware, or do not get this information, then this can happen.

          @Jem-Cotton
          According to some posts/reports, a massive landslide occurred a couple of months ago that caused a roadblock and ongoing construction.
          Currently, it is pretty unclear whether the road is blocked completely or if there are timeslots when you can pass:

          I had a mail chat with the guys from Montenegro's Automobile Club, and they expect the road to be re-opened for traffic "in May". You can find the latest information here:

            @Nomko-Nomden

            Hi Nomko, Yes, I'm a gold member and I tried the seasonal closures, unfortunately to see no change.

            Thanks for the suggestion though.

            Cheers Jem

              @Martin-Wilcke

              Hi Martin,

              Thanks very much for this. I won't be in the area until mid-June, so hopefully it may be well cleared by then.

              I couldn't access the website you referenced though (access disallowed) - even at the root level. Is there a trick I'm missing ? - I'd love to be able to get updates as we get nearer.

              cheers Jem

                Hi Jem,
                I can open it without issues by tapping the link. Is your firewall blocking this site?
                And, by the way, the road is still closed 🙂
