Blue route line disappearing before arrow and freezing app.

Just come back from a 3000 mile adventure around Spain and Portugal, which gave Myrouteapp a real good testing. The routes were faultless!
Aside from sometimes giving the wrong lane information at roundabouts (which I've heard of already so was prepared with common sense) the only snag I found was that after 100 miles or so the blue route line some times got ahead of itself and started disappearing before the location arrow caught it up. This was a little off putting when navigating busy junctions, but other than that all good.
Just wondering if this is a known bug or just my phone?It's a Redmi Note 9 Pro running Android 12.
I also tried it on my budget Doogee T20mini tablet and found that it would hang after a while and no amount of re-starting would unfreeze it. It seemed to sort itself out after a few hours, My other SatNav app seemed to work fine though, not too bothered as the phone was more than capable.
