I have the same problem. I create a route on the web MRA. When I open it on MRA Nav (ofline mode, maps downloaded), I have a message "can not calculate".
After a few seconds, it opens a route, but I see a route recalculated (I have a blue line as usual and at some parts I have a white line - like the original route when the app has recalculated)
Maybe I don't use good parameters on the web (I use Michelin map and here-Garmin calculating)

Good morning. I tried the app now for about 2000 km in Austria and Italy. I must say that I expected more. Unstable with freezing of the app. Planned routes quite ok. Navigation from A to B not convenient with strange guiding. Route not able to be calculated. Free riding without routing not good. Support for Silverfox controller also not intuitive. Pushing zoom goes to the menue which is bad while driving. I will park the app until a better version is available. And yes I am on the latest version.

@Joce-Doubs, is this by any chance a route created by the roundtrip generator? Does this occur also for normal routes, where you placed waypoints yourself?

@Thomas-Neumeyer said in Route could not be calculated:

I suppose you are using a AA/CP device instead of the native app? The UI of an AA/CP app is very restricted due to limitations imposed by Google/Apple. A scenic route app like MRA has more functions to be operated than let's say Google Maps. That is why it is very hard to get the UI intuitive on such a device. The best navigating experience you will get when using the native app. It is not really MRA that can be blamed for this.

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

No, it's a route creatad by adding start , end, shaping points by myself

@Con-Hennekens I have been using my Samsung tablet. I assume it is native together with the app. I am not using AA or CP at all. Today I gave it another trial. Route planned with planning tool from the app. Not the web version. Connected via hotspot. Route started. Lost connection and app went bananas. I have all required maps downloaded but routing was impossible. I thought the app is switching automatically to off line routing? Stopping the app and restart helped. Still not happy. Web based route planning works like a charm but. This I can state. But navigation next not really good.

@Thomas-Neumeyer Did you save your route after creating it in the app route planner? I might be wrong, but I believe that to use a route offline that was created in the app route planner you would need to save it before using it.

@Thomas-Neumeyer said in Route could not be calculated:

That is a nice description, but not really informative. Can you elaborate?

There is an option in de settings that says "Navigate routes as tracks" (or similar in English). Is that enabled? Disable it and try again. Tracks can only be calculated online, but the app should make an approximation and throw a message about that.

No, it will always throw a message to ask if you want to go online or offline.

@Con-Hennekens Bananas means that the app told, route can not be calculated, tried to recalculate, route can not be calculated, tried to recalculate, route can not be calculated and so on. I stopped it then. To be honest in this situation in an area without knowing where you are this is quite let’s say bad. Even the OEM app and arrow navigation is able to recalculate. As far I remember in the live blog from the developer it was stated that it switches to offline mode automatically. But I have to admit that I am not 100 % sure. Today I navigated with a A to B navigation. Was working fine except that there were the „original“ bright blue lines to see. But not following the street just straight lines. But I am sure this can be disabled somewhere in the settings.
