    Cheers from Austria,

so last weekend I was finally able to test this. The result was: it did not work. So I assume that I am using it wrong.

    The route: https://www.myrouteapp.com/de/social/route/10673164?mode=share

In Navigator, I enabled the option to use route as track, of course. Unfortunately, on the specific Phone used that day, the track recording is not enabled automatically and I forgot to do that, so I don´t have that available.

From viapoint 2 on, Navigation obviously wanted to go to the destination as fast as it could and totally ignored the "white line" that was still showing on the screen as the intended way to go. It would have turned me around on several occasions, wanted me to turn where it would absolutely make no sense, and so on.

Am I missing something? Is this kind of navigation just ignoring any shaping points or what else could I´ve possibly done wrong?

Thanks in advance for your input. Bigger tours will start as soon as I can get over the Alps w/o freezing my B off and I´d appreciate to know what to do or prevent. 🙂

    Regards,
    André

@Erdna yes André. That’s only an option in MRA

      Honda Goldwing GL1500,
      Honda Silverwing GL 650
DMD2 T865X 8 inch Android tablet using MRA next for navigation
Garmin XT (almost in the cupboard)
Samsung S20FE mounted on a Quadlock and using Android Auto in my car

Just to clarify: I thought that after that
          https://youtu.be/71e_-oX4V48?si=n_UnKbb8ypy4B5PI

I could just easily use track navigation with routes, too. But obviously, I´m missing something. 🙂

@Erdna looping at the shared route, rp2 is a viapoint so mandatory to get there. Might the problem be that you didn’t get to that point therefore the system trying to get you to go to rp2. I was offguard by your word navigator, thinking it was a dédicaces device, you probable meant navigate

Well that might of course be the case. I´m sure I was because I bought a ticket for highway use. And if I would not have been there, arrival time at target would have massive improved over time - which it did not.

No, on the contrary... Usually a sensible way back to the track is provided. What could have gone wrong is that you touched the screen on the routline, specifying your re-entry to the track, indeed by the fastest way. This can simply be corrected by (long)pressing the route line on a point near your location, the track will be re-entered from there.

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

As far as I rember, I did not touch anything at all. I did not need to, because I know every bend and bump on that roads. But I think we will not get this sorted. I will give Track navigation another try some other time and will update here.
