Possible points to work on (roundtrip creation, re-routing & Android Auto)
-
So yesterday I took my first ride of the year and after all the new MRA-updates I've had to test the new version out
.
It was also my first ride with my a Android auto screen on the bike so I was pretty excited untill the couple of problems that I faced;-
I've created a roundtrip with the app and it still has the problem that, when you're driving on a road, it makes you take a turn/sideroad (usualy to the right) for let's say 100m and then there's the famous U-turn to put you back on the previous road... You can ignore this little hickup by continuing to drive on the "previous" road and ignore the turn that is suggested but then comes the next problem.

When creating a roundtrip, or A-B twisty navigation, you have to disbale the auto re-route. I've chosen a twisty roundtrip but when the app re-routes, it ignores your preferences that where used when creating the roundtrip and re-routes "straight" to the endposition. Wich makes the solution for the previous problem annoying because I've had to stop each time to make a new twisty route.

I've had a lot of roadblocks because of road constructions on the roundtrip I've created. They where all visible on the map when the roundtrip was made but the app still tried to send me true the roadblocks. (with re-route on).
Then for Android Auto

I couldn't zoom in or out on the AA-screen. As I have read, this should be a new function in the next update so I'll be very happy with this!
-
When I'm using the AA-screen, the road I'm driving on is completly to the right instead of centered on the screen.
- Because I didn't like this view I started riding with the splitscreen where the road I'm driving on was in the middle but then I noticed, no more speed info visible (max speed and current speed)
- When I was driving I got speed camera warnings starting from 350m in front of the camera, then once again at 300m and after that no more on warnings or the location of the camera on the AA-screen. I still got everything (warnings and location) on the phonescreen untill I passed the speedcamera.
So after an hour of cursing in multiple languages I did a reset on my mindset and started driving without navigation. Once cooled I tried again, I ignored all the above, created a twisty A-B navigation to get home and got a nice ride out of the app.
