Hello there,

I am a middle aged motorcycle rider, have been riding quite some time and now went from more street bikes to adventure bike and touring.
I really like planning on here and using the app to navigate, since my Africa Twin has CarPlay.
Still a bit confused when planning on web and app as the experience is quite different, but I am getting there and generally a really good experience overall.
Hope to share some routes with you guys soon.

Of there are differences between the Web and your next that would indicate you do something not good.
First tip would would be to make shure that you use the Here map (not the layer) for planning.
Then make sure the settings are also the same.

As already mentioned by @Marinus-van-Deudekom : probably the most essential difference between the web planner and the navigation app is the routing engine used:

• in the web planner, you can choose between HERE, TomTom and OSM
• the app only uses HERE

So if, for example, you plan a route with OSM and then navigate it with the app, there can be significant differences.

To avoid this, it is best also to use the HERE route engine in the planner or switch on the comparison function so that you can see the possible deviations directly during planning.

All this is only possible with a GOLD subscription, but I'm sure you have one
