New update! (4.2.0) In-app MRA Routeplanner
-
@JP-d I agree more options in the App RoutePlanner would be great,
as the App RoutePlanner is new I am sure this will fill out in time & I hope that along with map layers they are able to include the comparison of routes between the different routing algorithms, Here, TomTom & OPenStreetMap
for me the route comparison function is probably the greatest asset/selling point of MRA as I create routes for groups of riders with multiple different navigation devices@Con-Hennekens the Michelin map layer is nice, I used the paper versions for many years, the green highlighted roads were a must ride
Now for me a beautiful map layer in MRA is the OpenTopo map, I think the detail / contrast is great for showing twisty roads. It is just a shame the server can be slow to deliver the tiles@Brian-McG said in New update! (4.2.0) In-app MRA Routeplanner:

I am afraid I can disappoint you by proxy of the devs for this feature...
Reason for this is that, unlike the web-planner, the app-planner is build within the HERE SDK, and they don't offer facilities to compare with other map providers as you will probably understand. The web-planner, in contrast to this, does not use the HERE SDK, but an API to the routing service. Clever devs combined multiple such API's from different map providers into one webbased program of their own.
In short, the basis on which the app-planner is build does not allow combination of multiple map providers.

Guten Abend @Marius-Gross
I just found the roadmap to V2.0 and summed up the month until finish ... roughly 19 months from now ... can I raise a request for a time warp please? Can't wait to see all the glory

Good morning MyRoute-app users!
We are proud to announce the upcoming release of the in-app MRA RouteplannerAfter elaborate testing by the Alpha and Beta testers, we are confident that this will be an epic release
With pride we present the in-app MRA Routeplanner to you!
With this routeplanner you can edit your high quality MRA routes with an interface it deserves.
- Edit any existing route!
- Create a new route from scratch
- Change routes from others
- All this can even be done offline!
The Routeplanner offers many features to help you in building lovely routes.
Quickly keep adding waypoints to your route to shape the route to your preference.
- Yellow button starts the adding process and keep tapping it to continuously add waypoints
- Click add to add a new waypoint and stop adding more
- Cancel, dismiss what you are doing
If you make a mistake, no problem! Simply use the undo / redo buttons like you are used to in the website
Do you want to add information to waypoints? Ofcourse you can do so!
Change the colour, type, note, title, pause duration or even the icon of the waypoint!
Do you want to add a waypoint somewhere along the route? Obviously that's possible too!
- Tap somewhere along the line to add a waypoint there in order of the route
- Long press and drag a line to immediately move the marker you are adding in that leg
Do you need to move a waypoint precisely? Simply use the advanced move interface to place the waypoint exactly where you want. Long pressing and dragging the waypoint works too but that is less precise
Then we also allow you to change any of the other settings.
- Edit the name / description of the route.
- Alter the privacy / travel mode
- Avoid specific type of roads
- View all the waypoints
Talking about waypoints! Did you know you can drag the waypoints shown in the list to reorder them?
When you've opened a waypoint you can also swipe left / right to jump to the previous / next waypoint
That's it really!
So in short:- Create new routes from scratch
- Edit any route
- Access to our unique MRA Routeplanner features in-app
- Modify waypoints
- Change route information / details / options
Feel free to discover all other features yourself
Isn't this an amazing update??? We have put a lot of focus in the visual appearance and user experience of this planner so we hope you are satisfied.
In the upcoming update we will rework your route library to enable easy syncing of all your routes. Meaning that offline created routes will be synced to the website when online again, you can automatically sync routes / your entire library between website and app!
But that's for later
If you got any feedback, feel free to share it on this forum
Best,
Corjan
Team MRA@Corjan-Meijerink Can the automatic recalculation be switched off?
Whenever you created a nice route, you don't want this route to be altered.
I'm not talking about traffic based recalculation, just recalculation without even needed .....Using the navigation with this version is giving me trouble all the way.

@Benny-Van-de-Velde The only way automatic recalculation might mess up your routes is when waypoints would be skipped automatically without reason. This can be turned off entirely
Deactivating recalculations completely cannot be turned off.
