Apple CarPlay

Who has installed a motorcycle specific CarPlay to their motorcycle and used MRA navigation.. What unit did you buy?..There seem to be a lot out on Amazon/ebay
Does it work ok via Bluetooth or do you have to use the data cable from phone to unit to get full capability? Regards -
Some people around here are very satisfied with Elebest units. I would probably use AA if my car/bike had compatibility built in. But if you add a device you can as well add a rugged phone and be done with the extra complexity of a second device.

@Phillip-Simpson I have this one...
Very satisfied with it, sometimes some hassle with BT connection though.

@Con-Hennekens
Thanks con.. That was my choice..rugged phone or CarPlay.. if I have to use a data cable to get MRA from phone to CarPlay I would not do it “ waterproof weakness “ if Bluetooth works I will consider -
@Bart-DM
Thanks Bart .. it’s good that MRA connects via Bluetooth.. Some apps require corded connectivity -
@Phillip-Simpson YW, yes the app connects via BT/wifi… that’s not a problem.

Hi, I have tested the Elebest C650 and it works fine with MRA.
There are a lot of Units identical in construction, but supplier or importer sometimes strange. Elebest is a company in Germany for some years. -
One of the reasons I find CP/AA devices so interesting is that the touch screen offers large buttons that can be operated quite well even with gloved "sausage fingers". This is often not the case with small smartphone screens.
It would still be interesting to know whether there are CP/AA devices that can be operated with a button controller. Does anyone have any experience with this? -

@Lynchy67 I don´t think this kind of device can control a Carplay or Android Auto displays. Because these are more or less displays (monitors) only. And there is no option to link additional Bluetooth controller.
May be the source (the smart phone) can be controlled. -
Yes I am aware of that as personally I have no interest in CarPlay or Android Auto, but as you suggest it may be possible to work directly with my phone.
