when I start a route, the voice instructions are a mix of english and my mother language.
I forum search quickly learned me this:

@Corjan-Meijerink Een mooie update daar gaan we plezier aan beleven. Werkt goed op android auto al moet ik nog steeds eerst de rit opstarten voordat ik hen aan android auto aansluit. Als ik hem gelijk aansluit bevriest de kaart, maar dat zal met een volgende update ook wel weer goed komen hoop ik. Ga zo door het wordt steeds mooier en bruikbaarder (android auto).

What does it mean? You hear English and Portuguese instructions during navigation?
For your information, German is working without any problems.
Hi,
Yes, and now started to be only in english but still, with a bad pronunciation ("...turn rrright").
When I sent an e-mail to the support, I even attached a video recording of this happening. -

Hi,
Maybe. It was a mix of Portuguese and English with a bad pronunciation ("...turn rrright..."). Now it's only in (the same) english and i can't even find where to change it. -
@Francisco-Castro It like sounds like a reasonable request. However, from MRA's point of view each translation probably costs quite a lot (I've done something similar - it definitely wasn't cheap!), so they may have to pick and choose the next most popular langauge as they progress, and it might not be Portuguese yet.
So I guess your direct question is:
- Is Portguese supported for speech output?
Maybe MRA could list the languages currently supported. That wouldn't help you personally, but that would set it out clearly for newcomers.
And reputation? Don't worry. Nobody looks - but I've voted +1 because your explanation is much clearer.

Hey Next Team,
@Corjan-Meijerink : Hey Corjan,

@Hubert-Thoring happy to hear that!
We’re expecting to release this update to the public end of next week -
Used the latest MRA version last week on a motorbike tour with an older Android OnePlus 6T and today on a camper tour with an older Samsung tablet and I’m very happy with the results. Both worked without any problem. Did not test the combination IPhone-CarPlay because I still don’t have much trust in the stability and don’t wanna have problems or be frustrated during driving. I’m sure this will be ok in future.
-
@Arno-0 happy to hear this!
-
@Dave-J-0 Both your suggestions will be implemented before final release

@Corjan-Meijerink did a test with Android auto Saturday
The lane assist wasn't visible on the Android auto. It did work on the phone
The lane assist came in to late. About 500 meters before the junction Witch is in most cases in the Netherlands already past the beginning of the exit lane. Maybe it could be a bit earlier
I didn't notice any indication of gas stations on the route thoug I passed several -
@Marinus-van-Deudekom, Yes there were complains about the new laneassist being shown too long. It has been shortened, but I agree it is really short now, and too close to the exit indeed.
About the gas stations, did you enable that in functional settings?
-
@Marinus-van-Deudekom I've changed the configuration to show up to 750m before the exit.
Lane information should have been displayed in Android Auto!
Fuel stops on your route are not suggested by Android Auto, only within the app itself. -
@Corjan-Meijerink I did a short test during the weekend. The next fuel station seems very good but it is sometimes replaced by the next turn sign. I tried to catch the rule but I couldn't. In my opinion next turn could be shown let's say 500 meters before the nearest turn. Fuel station is more important to me. Would be possible to show it permanently below the next turn icon? It would be perfect to have an info about two nearest stations, even instead of the icon.
-
@Stanisław Thanks for the feedback!
The fuel station is shown when:
- Next maneuver is more than 7500 meters aways
- OR: fuel station is within 1500 meters

So a fuel station that happens to be on the same junction that you're about to turn right on 200m away, for example, wins over the junction instruction?
i.e. get directed into fuel station, fill up, and next instruction is - immediately turn right.
(I'm not suggesting its bad logic or anything - just checking I understand correctly ).
-
@richtea999 yes, that's correct!
If you are however approaching the fuel station (when added), we won't suggest any other fuel stations (only after passing the one added). This means that you will then see the next instruction again.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink all the concern about fuel stops seems a little strange to me. I always plan fuel stops as part of my route planning... based on the fuel needs of those traveling with me. Still, feature seems to be very useful to a lot of people. I just wish the POI information in HERE was more accurate. Great progress on the app.
-
@Doug-Robinson thanks!
That’s exactly why this feature can be turned offOn my Tiger I have nearly 500km range when driving without thinking about saving fuel Let’s just say I don’t ever need a random fuel stop. If I know I’m on a long drive I plan the fuel stop ahead, just like you.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink Fuel station is not just a place to fill up, it is also a toilet, coffee etc, so it's hard to plan all these things in advance I plan a stop ad hoc, especially on a higway, by looking at the nearest station or the next one - the decision is made on the fly, without stopping, that's why the info about two nearest stations could be useful. Anyway thanks for the modification, it is of for sure a step in the good direction
