I find it very annoying.@Chris-43, If you mean like what @Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master said, then you can disable that in the navigation settings (lower section of screen layout.
If it is like what @Doug-Robinson said, then I am afraid it is by design. As far as I am aware all turn-by-turn navigations do that, and it is necessary information especially when you have loops in your route.
