Am I still doing something wrong!!?

Just planned a short local route. Planned using HERE maps, downloaded for offline use and selected from "my downloads".
I have checked that my maps are up to date but as soon as I touch Navigate I get the message "something went wrong. Can not calculate route".
This seems to happen every time I try to use offline maps un less I am within wi fi range to start with.
I'm sure this is not how it's supposed to work.

HELP.@Roger-Doidge, don't forget to enable offline navigation in the settings.

HELP.@Roger-Doidge If you say that you have the route in your download folder and you at least have the map(s) available for the regions the route goes through, then you should be able to navigate offline. Just make sure to download all the maps, including the regions along the driving route to the starting point of your route!

HELP.@Roger-Doidge Same. Route downloaded but Online Navigation. As soon i start the Route getting this Error. Solution is just to restart thew Route. Thats a Bug
