App Theme

Has anyone been able to test App Theme on iPhone. It does not work for me. I have been on the road at night several times, and the Theme did not change automatically as expected.
What are the criteria for the Theme to change from the Light mode to the Dark mode?
One thing I would love is an automatic Map layer. When riding at night, the Dark layer is my favorite; the Light layer is much too offensive for the eyes.

@UltraStar App theme only changes if you phone switches from light to dark - it's not related to any light sensor (unless your phone does so, but I do not think any do that). You might be able to change phone settings to switch to dark theme when it's night (then the app will change too).
We are working on an ambient light configuration for the app itself!

@Corjan-Meijerink You lost me at "when your phone changes from light to dark."
My thinking for automatic change for App theme and Map layer was more in lines with the Sunrise and Sunset times. Adding little offset to SR and SS would make it perfect.
I understand that some people would like to set it manually, and that is fine, the settings in the App theme could be also applied to the Map layer. -

@UltraStar I just changed the phone to the dark mode (I have never done that before; I always use just the screen brightness

Only App theme changed to dark, the Map layer apparently has to be changed manually. Bummer.@UltraStar, That setting is a theme setting, not a night and day setting. But must I confess I was fooled by it too

@Con-Hennekens Well, the theme setting is one thing, it does not bother me. The Map Layer is what I would like to be changing automatically, as you mention, day and night setting. Corjan wrote that they will improve this in the future. I am happy camper.
