Please don’t answer this until you are officially back at work!
I ran a route this morning where the waypoint updates where jumping ahead of themselves.
The route itself however had no issues and it correctly got me to my destination.
I can provide the full video if you need it.
I think the screenshots below will suffice however.

      WP7 is Skipped ok.

Waypoint 8 is skipped but we are not anywhere near WP8 but WP9 is now visible

We are now approaching WP8 but WP10 is Visible.
I think you get the idea?

@Lynchy67 Had a similar issue happen with me over the last few days using Android on Google Pixel 6 Pro. May have been to me missing auto skip on a few occasions and missing the revert prompt but there is something going on as a few times the skip did go several ahead as you have highlighted.

Had a similar problem in the last build where poor GPS signal or 'fast' small roundabouts where I am going to an exit past the 12 o'clock caused the skip function. Maybe this is caused by GPS accuracy as the problem appears to happen a lot more when I am offline.

@Corjan-Meijerink As an aside to the above, it would be handy to have an offline indicator as there have been a number of occasions when I have forgotten that I am offline. A simple indication similar to the pause tracking orange marker would be a good idea. Enjoy your holiday.

Kind Regards. Help where I can.

+1 for a simple Offline Indicator

I had more or less the same problem this morning on my Samsung A6 tablet. We left the route to do some shopping and then the route skipped from shaping point 3to 11 and kept recalculating. Very frustrating.

@Lynchy67 Thanks a lot for the feedback! 🙂 We will definitely investigate this. The skip algorithm should only be triggered on recalculations, was that the case?
If you have a recalculation within 250m of a waypoint, it will always be skipped.

The route itself stayed true to the actual WP Numbers and the Route was completed successfully.
So although, as an example, WP9 was showing as WP13 (Top Right) I was still routed through WP 9.
I was also out on the Tiger today and had no such issues with the Route.

@Lynchy67, that cannot be more than a coincidence. The quickest route to WP 13 obviously is through WP's 9 till 13. It cannot be because WP's 9 till 12 are still being calculated.

I was having the same problem with the waypoints skipping ahead, several at a time. then the route would change to take me to that point. I could see the waypoint on the road I wanted to take but the route line was bypassing it.
I also had the problem with the GPS not keeping up with my location.
I also agree that the distance font could be bigger and the ETA font could be smaller.
