Selecting route start point

I open a route and decide not to start front the first waypoint, but to go straight to waypoint 5, by long pressing it on the screen. To my surprise the app abandons the route and produces an A to B route to waypoint 5 only! See screenshots.

To select the waypoint I want to start from, first I have to start the route. It seems an anomaly that I can’t do this from the route screen and this little glitch has caught me out more than once.

@David-Bonner hahaha yeah, on that screen it won’t work. You need to enter the navigation module first If you tap navigate on the bottom left (image 2) or directly on image 1, you can long press there

@Corjan-Meijerink Wow, thanks for the very quick response Corjan - beyond the call of duty at this time of night!

Yes, I realise I can select a forward waypoint at any time after entering the navigation, but intuitively I would also expect to be able to do so from the route screen before setting off. Not a big deal, but maybe a refinement to consider.

The issue with the route on this screen is that there is literally no route calculation - we just show the route exactly as it is in the website
That’s also why you can’t change avoid options etc here, there isn’t any calculation.

Only when entering the Navigation module you can actually alter the route

I like your refinement suggestion but I don’t think it will ever be done It will however be possible if we add the route editor / planner in the app natively.
