exported route changed on garmin XT
-
I have imported routes for several trips and we used the first one at the beginning of the week. unfortunately the route changed it self to use motorways and go a completely different way that a I wanted.

@Ck-Hos This could happen for a number of reasons.
Not enough route points used or the settings used in your navigation device would probably be the reason. -
I recalculation on or off in the xt?
Can you share the url of the route her, make sure it is set public. -
@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master
The XT changed the route. Not only did it change the entire route it also made it faster and shorter using motorways. Even though my settings were to avoid motorways

This behavier is always the case when you importing a GPX route to your ZumoXT. The Zumo makes a new calculation from waypoint to waypoint, all along the route with the routing setup from the unit. The Garmin routing algorithm is different from MRA or other route planning tools and is using the Here map.
Therfore you should ad many routing points to your route and use the Here map. As a MRA gold member use toolkit, expand for this task. The ZumoXT can handle up to nearly 200 routing points witout alarm (garmin speech). So for a 200 km route I expand to approximately 50 waypoints.
