Distance to
-
Hi,
This menu is already great, but a small addition to the point configuration would be a god sent, and that would be, "Show distance to this waypoint".
Then in MRA, in a small text box, so you can see distance to go until the next waypoint that has this option enabled.
This way you can see how many more km to the gas station, or until the food stop, those with a small gas tank or Donkey on pillion will thank you deeply!
BR,

@Vlad-Popovici-0 If you have a Gold account, you can use the calculator in the toolkit to measure distance and time between any two route points.

@Vlad-Popovici-0 Thanks for sharing the suggestion!

Just guessing here... But I don't think that was the point he was trying to make.
If I read his post correctly, he's fundementally talking about being made aware - while navigating - of upcoming important via (stops). He seems to be suggesting a mechanism to flag vias in MRA Routeplanner so that MRA Navigation will display - while navigating - information about them like time to arrival or distance to them.
Currently - as far as I'm aware - MRA Navigation doesn't do this. It simply navigates to the destination - only displaying time of arrival and distance to information for the destination. As is, important (and carefully planned out) vias (stops) and/or shaping points can easily go wizzing by unnoticed.
It's been suggested before that the Navigation app should either navigate stop to stop (to the vias) or at least display persistance alerts when approaching stops (vias).
The good news - AFAIK - is that this is going to be addressed in Next.

I saw only the route point menu from the route planner and no mention of the navigation app, hence my suggestion of using the route planners calculator.
A route can be very well planned by use of the calculator.

@Tim-Thompson What you describe is already implemented in the first Beta release of Navigation Next
It will be available in not too long!

@Vlad-Popovici-0 If you're talking of this feature while navigating, then it wouldn't have to be implemented in MRA Route Planner, but in the mobile app, OR in the GPS device you're using while navigating. So this being said, if you're navigating with the mobile application, my following suggestion isn't valid.
But IF you are navigating with e.g. a Garmin, there may be a chance (in my case, the Zümo595, this is the case) that you have the function "distance to next waypoint". Of course, this implies that the point(s) that you were talking of in your opening post are not "normal" routepoints, but waypoints.
That may be a small workaround for a use case you were maybe not interested in to start with, but this suggestion might just as well be helping you in your usage scenario(s). If my reaction doesn't help, it won't have harmed either

@sudolea Yes, I did said MRA - MyRoute-app.
@Nick-Carthew You are correct. I meant while navigating, and not with Navigation, but with the MyRoute-app, I use that app because it will keep the point to point navigation like planned and will not try to re-route between the points.
@Corjan-Meijerink I can't wait to test the Navigation Next - maybe there is a feature to lock the constant routing between the points and act like MyRoute-app. About that Gold feature, it is nice, but I meant while navigating, I am waiting for another "Life membership" promotion discount to take advantage and become a Gold member. Also a difference from the Navigation Next, would be that the distance is shown for the next waypoint marked as a "Show distance", while the Navigation next is showing the distance to the next waypoint. When you have 10 waypoints between the current position and the gas station (marked as a "Show distance" waypoint) you see how that becomes relevant.
