@Corjan-Meijerink I've already try DND features on IOS, and I managed to send an automatic response to all contacts that send me a text message. But I can´t figured out how to send an automatic text message for incoming calls.

I'll try harder in IOS settings, hope I can figure out how to do this. 😉

    Thank you all

@Jack-van-Tilburg Yes, I've already look in settings / Focus but without succeed. I just get an automated text reply sent from my phone when I receive a text message, not when I receive a phone call 😞

I'll look harder, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

@Jack-van-Tilburg @Jose-Pinheiro-0 There is no automatic response to phone calls in focus on iOS. The best you can do is limit the number of people that can reach you while in a specific Focus (like Driving), by setting the "Allow Calls From" setting. I assume all others will go to voice mail (which is then sort of your automatic response, although not specific for driving).

Maybe I'm being boring with the question, and I'm sorry for that 🙂

But I just wanted to make it clear that the functionality I suggested doesn't exist in DND modes, at least in IOS. Furthermore, automated sending of text messages is not a unique feature of the phone operating system. There are NAV apps that already send automatic text messages:

          • Text messages with crash warnings
          • Text messages with ETA to someone predefined at the beginning of the trip, and with new ETA in case of delay.

But, I couldn't find any app (NAV nor dedicated one) that sends automatically text messages, when someone calls me, with a warning like "I'm riding a motorcycle, I´ll call you as soon as possible". Actually, I can't find this feature either in dedicated text messaging apps nor on the phone features itself, and these is the "little nothings" that sometimes make the difference between "just one more NAV app" and "the best NAV app", sometimes people call it Innovation 😉

Off course that, maybe, I'm just the one who think this is a helpful feature, and the feature do not make any sense at all to implement. I'm ok with that to 🙂

@Jose-Pinheiro-0 not quite the same but this may help in the short term:

@Andrew-Ross thank you. I’ll try it again. I’ve already done that but just get an auto reply text message sent when someone sends me a text message, not when someone calls me.
I want to believe that I’m doing something wrong.
Have you tried it and works fine with incoming calls?

@Jose-Pinheiro-0 You're not doing anything wrong, people are just not reading carefully what you are looking for. As I've already mentioned, there is no auto-reply functionality for CALLS in iOS, just for incoming text messages. The best you can do in iOS is limit the number of people that can call you during (driving) focus, by selecting the contacts group or individual contacts that are allowed through. I've created a group specifically for this purpose, that contains just my close family (always) and the people I'm travelling with (changes for each trip).

@Herko-ter-Horst Thank you again. I already thought I'm getting crazy 🙂

Maybe this functionality doesn't exist because it might not be easy to know if the caller is a mobile phone, and can receive text messages, or a landline that couldn't receive text messages.

I kind of hate all those auto-reply stuff. If someone calls me and I don't pick up, he/she needs to be patient, try later or wait for being called back. No need for textmessages saying I am out riding 😉 People need to be more patient...

I am not affiliated with MyRoute-App. The help I am offering is entirely voluntary.
I am just an enthusiastic user, and hope you will be one too!

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebar to the saddle.

@Con-Hennekens Yes, you are right. But when we are working and in "prevention/ alert mode", the people who call me to help them with a problem, need to know that I do not answered the call because I'm driving a motorcycle and not because I'm away from my mobile phone 😉

That's just why a feature like this is important to me 😉
