Route name column width
-
Great app but still room for improvements.
I find (in Routes screen) the width of routes name field to be too small and very annoying that is set as a fixed width.
Please change it - I would like to be able to change the width of the column in the routes table and even the option to wrap the text (The same goes for the Waypoints list).
I hope something is done about this - not a show stopper but an annoyance.

HI,
Can you share an image showing that? I don't know if you are talking about web planner, mobile app or navigation engine.... An image can help a lot.
Regards,

I am sorry I missed the response - I expected a notification but possibly I missed it or done something wrong.
I can see the confusion now -my apologies. I meant adding routes to compare in planning (my routes) screen - not familiar with the terminology but I hope the screenshots will show what I meant.
Problem is when looking to add additional routes to compare and when looking at the waypoints.

I feel the same pain: the issue is the fix column width, if names of waypoints, Routes, Tracklogs, POI, etc. are a bit longer. If 2 or more item names differs just in the end, you can't see which is that one, you are looking for.
Possible solutions:
- development should enable the mouse over solution, which displays the complete text
- development should enable a variable column width, the user should be able to adjust the column width themselves

@Chris-m As we heard today when Michel and Serge arrived after completing the MRA Iron Curtain Trail, the website (Route Planner) is based on technology from 2013. It is no longer being developed. We are awaiting a completely new website that will be built from the ground up using modern technologies and current-day standards.

@rob-verhoeff . Thanks.
When can we expect the new website and will it include our suggestions? -

For me this is a scary statement,

The basic functionality of the current MRA web site is I think very good, by this I mean the simple creation of routes with drag & drop of points, it works very well
Yes there are issues with the way "Routes" are displayed to only account holders & not friends or public, the issue the OP raises with poor fixed frame widths etc
but these are small issues that I only categorise as "would be nice if resolved", they do not require a ground up rewriteThe current "Toolkit" is awesome, it is powerful & extremely useful,
if the mobile MRA app planner is anything to go by then this is the sort of functionality that may very well be lost in a "ground up" rewrite
I am afraid, very afraid -
I am afraid I have to agree with @brian-mcg . I have been trying hard to wean myself off RouteConverter and Mapfactor but I guess I have to stay with them a bit longer

The fact is that the current website no longer meets the requirements for maintenance and development at all. So throwing the baby out with the bathwater would be grossly exaggerated.
