DMD-T665 as a Motorcycle Navigation Device – Long-Term Review

Thank you. Does this also apply to other controller variants (also non Silverfox). Based on https://unterstutzung.myrouteapp.com/de/support/solutions/articles/12000103174-bluetooth-controllers I would think, that every controller needs to be bluetooth, right?
@ConiKost I’m afraid I can’t say for certain about the other controllers available on the market.
However, every Silverfox model is Bluetooth-compatible.
If you’d prefer a different product, I’d recommend visiting the manufacturer’s website directly.
As for Silverfox, I can only say that the quality is excellent and it works really well with MRA too.

Just asking, as I have not yet decided what to do. I am not against bluetooth, just wanted to know, if it's a must or not, when choosing a controller for me. Silverfox is nice. But my problem is more difficult, as I don't have any place to mount it on handlebar and currently thinking about other mounting methods. Silverfox C1 may be an option, but I have to see.
Am I right, that for example Silverfox can be powered by T665 cable splitter, but connected via bluetooth, right? Does the splitter cable output 12V or 5V? Since its behind the converter box, I would expect 5V, but somehow Google tells me 12V?

I don’t know what sort of motorbike you ride.
On my GS, I had to move the left-hand mirror inwards just a little... but it fits quite well and I don’t need a special homemade mount.Concerning your question about connecting the T665 , I'm using the Silverfox in connection with a regular Smartphone, so I cannot answer this question.

...ned to add/update my last post: now the DMD Remote-2 controller is supported by MyRoute-App. So I'm totally happy

Hey everyone,
I recently wrote an in-depth review for MyRoute-app after ±10,000 km of intensive use of the DMD-T665 in combination with MyRoute-app Navigation Next, and I wanted to briefly share my experiences here and invite you to read the full blog post.
Review (with photos & details): https://info.myrouteapp.com/dmd-t665-review-na-intensief-gebruik/Hi This is my first 'Post' on MRA (I'm not very good at this Social Media stuff, so apologies in advance)
Although I am a long term MRA and earlier 'TYRE' userThe reason for this message is in 2 parts (What I have now and What I would like some help with)

I have a fairly New Garmin TREAD which I bought for On & Off road use, BUT I can't get on with it at all, far too complicated and keeps trying to send me off my planned routes, Nightmare.

I'm thinking of buying a DMD Device probably the smaller version T665? as the Bike is a 250cc Dirt Bike
-
I've been using OutDoorActive very successfully on a Smartphone for 2 or 3 Years, but a Waterproof Bike Specific solution is very interesting.
-
I understand the DMD is an Android Device so can take different applications so to the final question.
What OFF ROAD mapping does one use on the DMD device, is there an Off Road map that comes with the device or is there a preferred mapping that people generally choose.
And what mapping for On Road (I will use MRA if that is possible, it seems to be from the review)
If anyone has the time to reply I would really appreciate the information.
Thanks in advance
Rob H
