Notification of friend completing a Track?

Gents / Ladies!
Could somebody please explain to me why I am getting notifications in the Route Planner when one of my MRA friends records a new Track.
Who controls it (me or they) and how it could be stopped.
Thank you very much!

P.S. I see that one of the friends in his Tracklogs library has the same exact track at the same exact time and distance repeated like 25 times.... So he has 25 exactly the same Tracks and thus I have 25 notifications...

If friends of yours complete a tracklog and that tracklog’s privacy is set to “visible to friends” or “public,” you will indeed receive a notification about it in the planner. As far as I know, there is no setting to disable this notification, except unfriending your friend (which seems a bit drastic). In the app, however, you can configure these notifications.

As for the 25 identical tracklogs, something likely went wrong during the upload process.

Of course there is...
But not in the MRA website...

@Lenny-O, desktop notifications are a browser setting you can enable/disable for each website separately. In Chrome click on the site-icon in front of the URL and click "site settings"

Search for notifications and disable them.

@Con-Hennekens I wasn’t referring to those notifications, but specifically to the notifications in the planner…

@Bart-De-Medts, Ah, I understand, since they are silent for me, I never look at them I thought they might generate desktop notifications too, which is likely the case, since obviously I felt the need to disable them already ages ago... So don't know which is the one @Lenny-O referred to, but if it's your interpretation I stand corrected!
