Waypoint Position Offset
-
There are hundreds of comments in the forum about how points MUST be placed accurately on the road
I don't 100% agree with this but............ when I place a point I want it to be where I place itWith the new app planner there seems to be some offset when a point is placed, it is particularly obvious when the "Move" point tool is used in the app
I have tried zoomed in the error/offset is still present just the scale of the error changes,
the same happens on multiple device typesThe first pictures are where I have positioned the point, the second after I have pressed the green or yellow accept button. Point 13 was done at maximum zoom, point 14 zoomed out a bit

Point 6 on a different device was placed above the road with the Move function & when accepted via the yellow place button

I also think that this could work more accurately in the MRA app application, it may help to use a pointed pen
️, but I never have it with me either. So you are not alone with the desire but there will definitely be a solution I am quite sure.

Yes, there is indeed still an issue with this.
Some resolutions have a minor offset which we are still investigating. That said, as long as the route itself is on the correct road, the waypoint itself can be placed quite a bit off route
It really doesn't have to perfect (when navigating using our app) -
yes you can handle that! -

However I would not catagorise the offsets that I am seeing in the new App Planner at some zoom levels as "minor"
At some zoom levels the points end up 10's & 10's of meters from the road but that is not the problem, the issue is the points are not being placed where they are intended
so now each time when placing a point, I have to select a very high zoom level want to minimise the offset,
it just makes using the App Planner a lot more work to use
