Transport modes?

Posting here so as not to hijack the other thread that's currently discussing transport modes (https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/11559/the-selected-profile-only-works-in-the-here-tomtom-map)
The thread I referenced got me wondering, what's the difference between the car mode and the motorcycle mode other than the icon used in the UI. What are the differences in behaviour when creating a route (there's no explanation in the manual). I understand the requirements for specific modes and the underlying "planning" map and the target app/device I'm going to use. I'm trying to understand the routing differences. if any, and which might be more appropriate for specific planning scenarios.
Thanks

@Stevedo-6-0 The differences are minimal! You might come across a road that is accessible by motorcycle but not by car, assuming those differences are actually included in the map data.

I don't know if things have changed over time. But I've experienced errant HERE routing behavior using motorcycle mode is the past. I created a thread (early 2025) on the exact same subject:

I won't repeat what's in the post -- it's a straightforward read. To cut to the chase, use CAR instead of MOTORCYCLE. It's one of the (many many) HERE things that MRA can't do anything about. Maybe the behavior has changed, but I don't remember a forum topic announcing it.
