No deviation from my Route.

Hi all

I'm am very new here trying to find an alternative to Google Maps to use with my car group drive outs.

I need a way so that the route does not change while I'm driving. Nothing worse than new routes being suggested or just recalculated.

I have designed my route but I need to know it won't update or recalc during my drive out.

How can I make sure the planned route stays as the route I want.

Not sure though what you mean by this. The only reason i can think of why you experience this is:
a) Not enough waypoints placed on the route
b) Recalculation turned on
c) Recalculate the route due to road works/closed roads

Turn off recalculate if you want to be sure (some users will strongly advice you to keep it on for their own personal reasons)

Turn off the s-called "traffic-aware route calculations".

Else, try playing with the settings in MRA Next till you find the righ setup that works for you.

Place as many waypoints possible, turn of seasonal closure in the MRA online routeplanner, set Route optimization (under toolkit) to Shortest

@Paul-Crouch, just use the "Navigate route as track" feature.

@Paul-Crouch as @con-hennekens says "navigate route as track" & as @nomko say turn off recalculate
I would also suggest turn on "Navigation Settings > Screen Layout > Lines > Show Original Route"
this will display as a white line underneath the normal blue path that you intend to navigate
if the blue & white paths diverege then you know the navigation is taken you off of your original intended path
