Favorites (again...)

I really struggle with the lack of support for managing favorites properly i.e. being able to manage favorites outside of a route and being able to group them in different folders. This seems like a really basic of function.
I was hopeful that the big rewrite of everything last year would deliver proper favorites management but sadly no.
Can someone tell me if I'm missing something?
Is this a feature that the dev team is looking at?

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
