Anyone successful using Off Road .gpx files
-
I am very curious and interested in learning about anyone who has downloaded off road gpx files for ACT, TET etc and ridden them with MRA. After importing these into MRA webplanner I get clear routes on offroad tracks as well as when I view them on my android device. I'm just not sure if the appearance matches the reality or if there are any pitfalls and would appreciate any real life experiences. If I can verify it works I'm going to use it.

Hi, just my experience. MRA is not made directly for off road use. In navigation mode it follows the normal street rules. If a road/way is closed for traffic, it will not guide there. But there is a possibility to follow the GPX Track without announcements. Just open the track, klick on Open Route, change view by clicking the compass and just follow the track.

@Jörgen . Thanks for your reply here. I don't need the audio turn by turn on off road tracks and I will only use tracks, no routes to avoid recalculations. I know there are more dedicated nav programs for off road exploration but at the present I simply want to reliably ride an established .gpx file track.

Then it works as described.

How would you handle a closed segment causing a change on the planned track please ?
