I'm am pretty sure that MRA is aware of the autozoom problem in Android Auto.
But is there a kind of roadmap when this will be fixed?
I did a few tours the last few days and the autozoom in urban area was pretty annoying. In urban area there are a lot of sideways and with the current zoomlevel it is pretty hard to see where to turn exactly.
The current zoomlevel shows an area of roughly 3 km2 in a urban area where an area of around 300 m2 (or less) close the crossing where you need to take a turn is more preferable. Then you see exactly what you need to see.

@M-Schrijver Through the settings, you can adjust the zoom level yourself. Did you try that already?

Using a DMD-T665 navigation phone on my motorcycle with a SilverFox controller.
Wireless CarPlay in my car (iPhone 15).

Those options only works in the app on your smartphone. Not in Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The zoomcorrection level gives you the opportunity to correct the default zoomlevel. "+" means more zoomed in compared to the default level . "-" means more zoomed out compared to the default level.

The Tilt level correction changes the angle of the "bird" view.

@M-Schrijver those corrections are definitely also applied to CarPlay / Android Auto! 🙂

If so. Then they don't work.

Maybe a bit. Let's say 10% of the effect it has on the smartphone itself

                  An example:

At this crossing i need to take a turn to the left to a road just before the main crossing.

Because of bad zoom level, you can not always see good enough what is meant.

This is more or less the normal zoom level in Android Auto when reaching a crossing.

                  Screenshot_20240506-225730.png

The screenshot below has a much better overview of the situation. But this seems not possible.

                  Screenshot_20240506-225740.png

                  What i miss.
The closer you get to a crossing, the further it zooms in on the crossing. Until the height of the screen shows a scale of around 20 meters

Update 4.1.3 will have the ability to turn off zoom corrections for speed / maneuver distance 🙂

@M-Schrijver I agree...zoom levels/consistency, even when ++ all the way, does not give a very good idea of upcoming turns/exits. Hope this is on the list to improve.

Why is there not a possibility to zoom in or out manually in android auto? on the android phone you can access this. But it is not displayed in android auto screen
This could solve a lot of problems of auto zoom. When arriving to a crossing and need to zoom in, you can do it manually on the phone but not when using android auto.
I'm indicating this button, is not displayed in android auto

I really hope that autozoom will be implemented in MRA Android Auto support and also that the image can tilt to 3D so that you get (much) more depth on a progressive map display.

I purchased MRA all-in-one lifetime Gold to be able to use it in combination with a Carpuride W619B (possibly a Chigee later) and, of course, because MRA supports Android Auto.

But, after a few test rides on the motorcycle, I came to the conclusion that MRA is not yet suitable for motorcyclists using Android Auto. The setting options are still too limited: you have to set the route and everything on your phone before you start riding. Changing something on the way, for example driving to a gas station, is not possible. You have to stop and grab your phone to make adjustments.
Auto zoom function is missing via Android Auto, which is why I also strongly experience the limitations mentioned by others. 3D display does not work either, the map is linear and 100% flat, which, just like the lack of auto zoom, is very detrimental to being able to look ahead and estimate distances. I especially foresee that this is a huge disadvantage on winding roads, with poor visibility ahead, where you are allowed to drive 100 km/h (think of the Eifel area in Germany for example) because you cannot look ahead and estimate in time, which means you often react just a little too late.

There is also always a large white arrow on the map that indicates where you have to take a turn. Due to the wrong zoom position, the arrow is sometimes so large that it extends beyond the screen. You then no longer see a large part of the line that you have to follow and you do not see where you have to go. (By putting the map in night mode, the contrasts fortunately change in such a way that it becomes more visible.)

even on CarPlay sometimes the zoom was crazy big on the phone and on my CP display. it happened first of all when you leave CP for a break and reconnect the phone after return. Some additional restarts during the routing, possible because my wife was driving the car and I was on the passenger seat and could handle the phone solve this issue.
with the new design the new colors for the map while routing you install big big improvments, but ist seems that other new problems were added too. Loss blue line, loss the marker for shaping or via points on the map on CP and phone, crazy zoom, things I had to struggle with on my tour through France since 4.3.x
We are now back and for the next months is no possibilty for such big test tour over 3500 kilometer.

With all due respect, this example does NOT apply to using MRA via Android Auto, I think? Because if it looked like this on my system, I would jump for joy!

So, I'm a big fan of MRA. I've been using the navigation app for years, and the Next version is excellent. Touring Spain last year using my smart phone was simple. We never got lost or missed a turn. Very impressive.

After Christmas I purchased an Aoocci C6 unit and fitted this to my bike. I hoped the Android Auto version of MRA would work as seamlessly as the smart phone app.
Unfortunately, this isn't the case. I've experienced a couple of crashes of the Android Auto MRA where the navigation just stops. I need to exit/close both the Android Auto and smart phone app. Then restart again.
The other big issue is as described in this post - the lack of ability to adjust zoom levels.
The Android Auto display defaults to a zoom level that is too close. You simply cannot see junctions until you're on them. This is a problem. By the time you see the turn or roundabout exit, its too late, you either miss it or you've committed to it.
You can use the phone app to zoom out, but this doesn't always work. A restart of the Aoocci unit after turning the bike off/on results in the default "too close zoom level". Adjusting every time is a pain - especially if the phone is in your pocket (gloves off, undo jacket, redo everything again...).

Please, please introduce a zoom control option for Android Auto (and I guess CarPlay).
I'm beginning to see a lot of bikes being fitted with these Android Auto/CarPlay units - and the MRA experience with them is very poor.
GoogleMaps and AppleMaps don't have these issues - their zoom levels seem to adjust for the screen size perfectly.
                                      Why can't MRA???
                                      This is becoming very frustrating.

I started using android auto with MRA in my car (xc40) a few days ago, because I wanted to see how it works before i used it on the carpuride.

I must agree on issues with the zoom option.
I think it is mainly caused by the difference in screen resolution and sizing if you compare phone and device.

But I do miss a zoom option on the android auto screen and an option to move around the map, with finger and pinching ,like Google maps can, to look a bit around on the map for example when stopped.
