Zumo XT 2

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is well…

If this has been covered then I'm sorry but I have a question for you all.

When I plan a route in MRA and send it across to my XT2 1.1GPX via Garmin Explore why sometimes do I get all the shaping points and via points displayed on the unit and other times I just get the start and end point? Apologies I know that’s pretty vague!!!

When you see the shaping and viapoints you selected the route.
Only start-en end point you selected the track

Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately thats not correct, I’ll take some photos tomorrow and upload them, its very very odd and didn’t happen on my original XT… please don’t think I’m blaming MRA as I'm not!! The fault is obviously with me I’m just struggling to work out what that fault is️

Sorry I should’ve said its when I copy someone’s route (idiot)!!!!!!

Hi Andy,

welcome to the sometimes confusing world of the Garmin XT2.
1st of all: I have very similar problems and I have already spent hours on working on a workflow for me with suing MRA and the XT2. I was using a Xt before, which works better due to the different "noon-concept" using Garmin Drive instead of the Explore world.
I also still struggle. as a quick fix I found out, that it works better if you use GPX 1.0 instead of 1.1.
Sounds strange, but improves the situation for me

Morning Tom,

I’m really sorry buddy but I cant work out how to get my screen shots on here, I’m not normally this stupid!!! I keep getting a file too big warning… anyhow I’ve gone through all my routes planned on here and cross referenced with the XT2 and all go on fine, the issue seems to be when I import a friends route, to that end I’m going to replan day two of our trip myself delete his and see what happens, I’ll post the results…

@Andy-Beviere, Pictures and screenshots can easily be copy/pasted into a messages on this forum. I usually grab a screenshot, use irfanview to resample to a sensible amount of pixels, and just CTRL-C / CTRL-V it into my message.

Re did the route copying my friends but making sure I plotted the points sent from MRA app to tread in 1.0 and boom I now have 23 waypoints showing!! However, still don’t understand what’s causing me not to be able to use his route in the first place!
