Difference between Navigation and Next?

Sorry for such a basic question, I had gold navigation which I had a 3 year membership, I received an offer for lifetime membership, which I bought. It turns out I bought lifetime Next, now I only have basic navigation. Pretend I’m a 3-year-old, what’s the difference between Navigation and Next and what have I bought? Thank you.

@Jane-Harle The app Navigation is no longer supported. The new app 'MyRoute-app' is the new navigation app and the app where you can create routes.

@Jane-Harle Your Gold subscription relates to the route planner only. You create and store your routes in the route planner. The Gold version gives you access to all of the different maps and tools to be used while creating routes in the route planner.
Navigation Next is a navigation module that is added to the mobile app (Called MyRoute-app). The navigation module allows you to navigate your routes with turn-by-turn instructions.Always willing to help if I can.

Am I missing something I really need. Apologies, I still do t u destined the difference. The terminology doesn’t match what I have. Route planner and Next. What do I need for good route planning to download to my Garmin?

@Jane-Harle Your Garmin uses the HERE map and although you will have access to the HERE map with your Navigation Next subscription if you’re going to use your Garmin for navigating I would recommend contacting the MRA Support team by creating a new ticket and ask to change your Navigation Next subscription to a Gold route planner subscription.
It may be a while before you get a reply though because of Christmas.
