Downloading off line maps on android

With the new system, I can’t find where to download maps to my android phone. When I get out of phone range I get the message “Check your internet connection.”

@artbone, it's in the "three lines menu" at the top left, and then the profile icon at the top right. Scroll down to "offline maps". However, there seems to be a problem with HERE's download server momentarily...

Also known as the hamburger button:
