In short, I would like to have a single user account, and not a different one for the forum and the routeplanner/Next.

@Drabslab what do you mean?
In the routeplanner, I have an account and a profile that allows me to enter a blog, it shows my "achievements", i can say all kind of very interesting stuff about myself
, and my motorcycle, and ...
I once put a blog in there
https://www.myrouteapp.com/profile/blog/1101916
just to test.It is certainly public as 3 people reacted at the time, but I would have no idea how anyone can find my blog.
In the forum, I have a different profile where again I can say something about myself (and there is not much to say), with another profile picture ...
I think it would be better if those profiles could be merged.
and in extension, if the social features from forum and this profile could be merged as well.
and now you will tell me that I only have to push one button ...

User Interface 2.0I sometimes get the impression that people don't like it when I ask to shift the focus a little from Next to the Planner.
But in the context of integration and consolidation it is quite a good idea. -
Oh like that, yeah I understand now
To be fair, all those kind of things need an overhaul! -

).
Software hass the tendency of becoming outdated, or not compatible anymore with the latest additions.
I would see this as one part of the foundation for a routeplanner overhaul. I wonder in how many places we currently store user data and preferences?
Besides, I guess that about every change to the routeplanner will have consequences for Next, and to exploit any addition to the planner, an immediate update of Next will be required.

Yep, that's what mean with 'consolidation".

But in our profession it is jargon anyway; stick to the plan (until you have a new plan).
