You need to take community suggestions for what they are: suggestions. Important for improving the system, but not allowed to stand in the way of a bigger picture.
And that typing seems to go pretty well, i have the impression
You know "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NWZpsyaIbU&ab_channel=B.J.Thomas-Topic"
Raindrops were indeed falling on my head, by the millions, and unfortunately also on my screen, by the millions... and Next went ballistic
(Phone: samsung A32)
Is there a trick to make the screen unresponsive requiring for instance that an actual physical key in the phone has to be pushed to turn it on?
@Drabslab hahaha, nice one. Had quite some raindrops too in Wales over the past two weeks
I think Android has some stuff for this (but as I do not use it, cannot really help) and iOS doesn't. We do have this on our backlog for the app itself but hasn't got the greatest priority to be honest
Hello personally I use the free "TOUCH LOCK" application which is not intended for the motorcycle but which fulfills its role perfectly. You lock with a small padlock icon and no more problems with raindrops !!
just press again on a "finger" icon and return to the touch keyboard.
I use a samsung tab active 2 tablet and it works perfectly fine.
A full-screen transparent colour view/widget laid on top of the real app views/widgets will accept all touches and throw them away, thus stopping the real MRA views/widgets from receiving them.
You'll need to code up Vol Up/Down buttons to disable the overlay, and add a visible hint to indicate its now locked, and not crashed.
And then, finally, write a FAQ to explain it to all the unsuspecting users.
Good luck there!
@Calibos aha, something like this does exist thanks for the tip
