Error in a sequence when zooming on "show route"
-
Look at this sequence:
- show route
- zoom
- center route
2D/3D view stops working correctly.

@b0hd1 What is your point or question? All buttons work I can see.
-
@Rob-Verhoeff It's not working properly. It should switch to 'normal' 2D/3D view and not keep showing the route
-
@b0hd1 Hold down the compass for a long time
-
@Bart-DM This is not how it's solved. Thank you.
-
@b0hd1, you will need to explain a bit further. What I think I am seeing, is that if you recenter the map, the route line is not shown up North. Is that what you mean?
What kind of device are you using?
-
@Con-Hennekens Thank you very much for your interest.

@b0hd1, I think you could be friendlier to people who want to help you. With such a big mouth I think you can wait until release and shoot a support ticket. The beta forum is for beta testers to help each other AND the staff, who are rather busy developing a great app. I think there are fellow users here quite knowledgeable enough to understand you, if you are willing to take the effort to express yourself in a friendly and meaningful way. If you don't want to do that, a public forum is no place for you.
-
@Con-Hennekens I think I won't argue with you. Thank you anyway.

Hi, staff here
To start off, this is a public and without the help of the community I’d not be able to help all of you. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to be nice to those who spend there free time and energy to help others.
Quite frankly, I actually do not understand the issue you have Show route works correct. Tapping the compass (first press) from an unfocused camera view (after dragging map, showing route etc) will enable the dynamic camera. This is with tilt and automatic zooming.
Tapping again (second press), will change to the top-down camera (no tilt) using the last chosen zoom level and fixed on this zoom level.
When in unfocused mode (dragging, showing route etc) the zoom button will just zoom in on the center of the map, unrelated to your position.
So far, I see nothing wrong. Therefore the questions as asked by the other community members still stand.
Happy to help you along but please do respect others that are helping. Especially as they ask the questions I now also ask. I do hope my elaborate description of the expected behaviour helps

@Corjan-Meijerink Sorry. There was no intention to bother anyone.
-
@b0hd1 no worries! Did my explanation help you and is this now not an issue anymore? Or can you elaborate om the issue you have?
Please just accept the general community rules and public participation at all times

@Corjan-Meijerink I thought I understood that the Compass icon had a dual function: to center the view and switch between 2D and 3D modes (in addition to showing the route by long-pressing). To my surprise, if I long-press and then zoom on that view, when I subsequently tap on the Compass, in my opinion, it doesn't center the view properly in 2D. But it's just a minor detail of my own appreciation without much importance.
