Alpha test result

One of the great advantages of creating a navigation app is that you get to test it too! As you guys do an incredible job of providing us with feedback, it's still crucial that the version you receive is already up to a certain standard.
We've had a few beta releases that weren't as smooth resulting in last minute withdrawals or weekend fixes. This made us realise we really needed to slow down just a bit with the "it's Thursday, let's release it before the end of the week" mentality. That's why updates now are more likely to be at the start of the week This allows us to fix any issues during office hours and we can use the weekend to drive with the app!
This weekend a test in Brabant was scheduled: https://www.myrouteapp.com/route/open/7600728 It truly was a lovely route which was greatly inspired by different routes in our RouteXpert library.
The scheduled update for this week is a massive one! More details will be shared today in the official announcement (https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/4381/new-beta-v3-2-16) but the major fix is related to the position delay! As such a critical update requires good testing we wanted to increase the size of "Alpha testers" - those that test the upcoming Beta before it's a Beta. Up until now the only testers that used that version were me, Joost & Michel. Not a very large group.
I thought it would be great to add some enthusiastic Beta testers to this group! Therefore I reached out to @Con-Hennekens, @Rob-Verhoeff, @Bart-DM & @StefanHummelink and we turned out to be a great group of people together. Having good laughs with each other and sharing important feedback directly with me.
Past Saturday we met in Brabant for our first official Alpha test together. I showed them all the important changes related to the upcoming update and away we went!
You can see the recorded tracklog here: https://www.myrouteapp.com/track/open/481945
The feedback was pretty easy: position delay is fixed and all other features were implemented correctly! Obviously there were some minor tweaks they suggested and I've processed all of these yesterday. So now we can go ahead and share this version with the Beta group too!
It was a wonderful day that was a lot of fun! It makes all the hard work worth it to see the amazing things you can do with the app but above all to meet the great individuals that are present in this community
Only together we can make this the best app! Thanks again on behalf of the MRA team to all you Beta testers that contribute to the development of the app!

@Bart-DM It definitely was!

@Corjan-Meijerink Still crying about my absence ... Family first, but still a pity

A really great day it was. Nice to see such different people from different locations packing together and have fun. And het "boerebördje mee krintemik, sneeke achteröt, roggebrôôd mee beleg en grôôte boterhamme mee toelaog" made an excellent lunch!

Nice Tour

Excellent and thanks for all the hard work.
I managed to rupture my Achilles Tendon in Holland, last week, on the way to the `Hook of Holland ferry to Harwich, so motorbiking (and driving) is off the cards for some time, sadly. I do though look forward to seeing the new app when it’s released and, of course, using it….. and reading the beta test comments until then.

@Corjan-Meijerink Nice route driven. But who taught you that fondness for the sand? It's totally impractical with my K1600. I didn't dare try it myself. And not because of my limitations (or is it…?), but I simply take good care of the bike and scared to damage it with those unpredictable excursions in the sand. Thankfully, with MRA, you can easily skip a section of the route!

@Richard-18 Hope your tendon gets sorted quickly. Must be so frustrating for you with the Summer coming and this great app to play with.
