Locatie op achtergrond

Kreeg zojuist een melding dat de MRA app (iOS) op de achtergrond 20 keer mijn locatie heeft opgehaald terwijl ik de app op dat moment niet gebruikte. Beschik ook over een schermafbeelding van de melding (met een kaartje) en indien nodig wil ik die wel buiten het forum om delen. Waarom haalt de MRA app locaties op wanneer deze niet wordt gebruikt? Heb toegang tot de GPS nu beperkt tot “bij gebruik van app”, maar dat heeft ook weer nadelen.

@CD130, als jij de app actief hebt, wil je toch ook dat die je positie bij houdt?

@Con-Hennekens correct, en als ik de app niet gebruik wil ik dat dus niet. Bij “altijd” toestaan binnen locatievoorzieningen blijft de huidige beta app kennelijk locaties ophalen. Ook als die 3 dagen niet wordt gebruikt… Dat hoort niet toch?

@CD130, Hmmm, Als Android gebruiker sluit je uiteraard gewoon die app af. Dan draait de ook niet meer in de achtergrond. Op Apple spul werkt dat anders inderdaad. Maar als je gebruik maakt van tracking kan het ook zijn dat je de app in de achtergrond wel degelijk gebruikt. Geen idee hoe de app daar mee omgaat, of hoe IOS daarmee om gaat.

@Con-Hennekens heb @Corjan-Meijerink inmiddels de nodige schermafbeeldingen gestuurd. De app verbruikt (mogelijk hierdoor) ook onnodig stroom op de achtergrond.
