Resume after stop, issue?
-
My expectation is that when I got to resume the route after a lunch stop it wouldn't start my route again from point 1. Which is 147 km back. But it would pick up the route where we were at. We drove a big circle in Overijssel so no risk of skipping to the end of the route where that is unwanted.
See picture
Couldn't ride with offline routing. See picture
But otherwise I had no issues and drove about 502 km yesterday. Really love the app.

@Patrick-Roozen-0 Happy to hear you love the app!
Regarding your issue, did you use the feature as shown here: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/4000/new-beta-v3-2-14?page=1?
It will only pick up where you left off if you use that. It won't magically resume the route from the correct waypoint -
@Corjan-Meijerink
I had the same experience. For me the behaviour is not that logical.
When it says do you want to resume. I would expect it to resume to the next closest waypoint at the route available, not at 1 -
@Edwin_M it should resume at the waypoint you were heading to when you stopped the navigation. If that is not the case, something is wrong
However I cannot determine, based on these messages, if it's a logical or user error.

@Corjan-Meijerink Sorry, I thought it was clear. But it wasn't I see now.
I was on the route. Stopped at a lunch place, continue after that and I got redirected to point 1. I just passed waypoint 55 and heading for 56.I did not stop the application, just kept it running while I locked my phone and / or browsed something else. I got asked to resume which I did.
I must add that I have the app on GPS / Location use when in use only. (It costed me too much battery life for my phone to be useful otherwise in the past. I haven't tested that as I didn't want to test that yet).I might test that starting Wednesday when I start a trip to the Vosges in France.

@Patrick-Roozen-0 thanks for clarifying! If you have any follow up info, please share.

A strange behaviour on a ride today where after the first stop, I halted navigation and there was no problem with resuming the route.
At the second stop. I did the same again but when I resumed the navigation the mobile signal was poor and was asked to go offline. I accepted but over the next few minutes, whilst stationary and doing nothing with the route, the app skipped the next 5 waypoints in turn (about 30 second intervals) without being prompted to do anything. GPS signal seemed fine whilst offline.
Not sure what was going on but thought I should mention this here.

@Dave-J-0 Happy to hear that there was no issue in resuming for you!
Yeah, bad reception can cause quite some issues behind the scenes. -
@Dave-J-0
Corjan-Meijerink for me the same behaviour:
I did not stop the application, just kept it running while I
locked my phone and / or browsed something else. I got asked to resume which I did.My battery settings for the app (Android) is : optimized
Mobile coverage was also fine
