Compass function and mode

Hi,

I hope it is not only me, but I have problems with the function, respectively the mode the compass is in.
Is it correct that there are three different modes?

1. whole route view.
2. north up
3. direction up
   I sometimes don't know which mode I am in (except whole routes view).
   A different colour might help.

@Jörgen there are three:

• no focus (triggered when you swipe over the map, long press compass to show entire route or any other action that animates the camera)
• north up
• direction up (default)
