Mark the beta as 'Beta'
-
Suggestion for Android:
Add a 'Beta' badge or 'Beta' corner strap, so users know what they're running. Or even change the name to 'MyRoute-app Beta'.Rationale:
The Android beta has just updated for me, to 3.2.10 - 158. It now works well with BarButtons, thanks.The complication was that there's a subtle time difference between a becoming a beta tester and actually getting the beta build - at least 24 hours delay in my case.
So for 24 hours I was a beta tester but with no way of telling whether I had the latest beta build (without Corjan's direct help in another thread).
(For Apple this isn't a problem, because TestFlight tells you it's a beta you're running - just Android.)
Thanks.

@richtea-0 thanks for the idea and happy the BarButtons work nicely for you!
Not really sure if this adds a lot of value as you can easily check the app version in your account screen and there are quite some big UI differences on almost all screens so you would quickly find out if you aren’t yet using the Beta. I also don’t really experience a lot of confused testers at this point.

@Corjan-Meijerink, I agree adding it to all views is a bit overkill. But adding "Beta" to the version number is probably not much of an effort. So if you go into the "hamburger" menu, click the account icon en scroll down, you see this:

@Con-Hennekens nice font too!

@Corjan-Meijerink in iOS beta-apps have an orange dot and normal apps have a blue dot when updatet. I think MRA-users will precisely now wich version they are running. For those who didn't sign up it has no reason at all.
Edit: I think the orange dot is always visible on iOS beta-apps! Don't know if Android has a simular option for beta-apps.

@Corjan-Meijerink, yeah man, that's how creative I am!
