Offline Maps

Tried to access the offline maps I had downloaded today only to fine the message:
A MAP UPDATE IS MANDATORY BEFORE YOU CAN CONTINUE. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE WIFI WHEN DOWNLOADING MAPS.
I then pressed the download update bar as required and it says DOWNLOADING UPDATE.....
2 hrs later nothing has changed and no way of knowing if the download is ongoing. It would be nice to see a spinning wheel to confirm.

@Mike-Whitwam if you restart the app, what does it say?

The problem with showing a progress indicator there is that I believe we don’t know what the progress is (will check later on but I believe the HERE software doesn’t facilitate it)

I tried restarting the App and I get the same message:
with a yellow bar Saying: DOWNLOAD UPDATE.
I then press the bar and it turns green Saying: DOWNLOADING UPDATE... same as before.
The maps I have are France in Full and UK in full quite a large download i suppose. I will leave it downloading and see if it completes. My wifi download speed is not the best! so will give it more time.

Indeed best to give it some time.

If that doesn’t work try uninstalling the app and downloading regions individually. Offline maps download management is something we will improve later on too!
