Screen times out

First, I would like to congratulate the team for their hard work and commitment to providing this brilliant Navigation app.
While navigation is on and active, the screen times out and goes blank following the exact screen time-out setting on my phone. Will the new app eventually override the phone's screen time-out settings? The reason I ask is my phone doesn't have a screen time out setting of Never.
Don't really want to refresh the screen time out every few minutes whilst on my motorcycle.
Has anybody else come across this problem?

Considering your issue, this has been reported before and will be fixed!

This one specific: we hope to get this fixed in the Beta update scheduled for the end of this week!

@Corjan-Meijerink happened to me today on long trip, after 1h, it started to time out, the only solution then is to close app, start again, but you need to skip all waypoints already passed...

@Jure-Sirena-0 Thanks for your reply. We've worked on a fix today which will be available in the next Beta version!
Still, there are situations where you phone will still lock your screen (low battery percentage / heat issues etc).
