@richard-archdeacon You aren’t missing anything. WYSIWYG!
I guess you’ve probably sussed this, but if you open the route you want to navigate in Routeplanner before going to Navigation, that route will at least be at the top of your long, folder-less list in Navigation. That's about as good as it gets despite this being a commonly requested area for development.
Yet invading an individual’s routes with other people’s photos has been deemed of huge importance and rushed into existence!🤪
@pad-0 for me too, the street view option was essential for my registration! otherwise there are many other route planners, like kurviger, the first one that comes to mind, who can do the same things!
@bryan-3 Hi. You can turn these off by going to 'Page Menu', 'Toolkit' and deselecting 'Show Nearby Pictures'. They can be useful but, like you, I find they get in the way when I am planning. Hope this helps.
It would be nice to know how pictures qualify for being shown in other ones routes
(or how to prevent your pictures to show up in other ones routes...).
When you take a photo when using the MRA app for tracking or MRA Navigation, if you have the privacy set to public your photos go into a database.
I had to run your post through an interpretation app and it made a pretty spectacular mess! As it probably did with this 😁. But I've gathered enough to believe you're absolutely right. 👏
Hi Vitor, yes you can. Use viapoints (hands) where you want to stop. Change the name of that point into Coffeestop with the naam of the facility, then you get an alert.
Tou can use the gpx 1.1 and gpx 1.2 in the navigator VI. Always turn of recalculation.
I wonder if connecting the iPhone and Nav 6 together with a lighting/micros usb cable will make the SD Card available as a place to save the route file without needing to remove it?
Surely this could be rolled out via a simple software update?
I wouldn't wait for it.
The NAV6 is an outdated navigator and I don't expect any further developments in it. Certainly not at the initiative of BMW Motorrad, because they all focus on the BMW Connected App in combination with the TFT display.

@nick-carthew you are correct alas when driving the map usually zooms in so much that they aren't visible. It also doesn't really address where you are on the map relative to the waypoint
