For Android the Motorola MA1 is a better solution. Easier to implement. It did not see the whole video (approx 2/3) of Cruiseman but from what i saw. The MA1 does auto-reconnect better.

@Con-Hennekens Thanks for the info. It just goes to show that you’re never too old to learn something new.

@Jaap-n If you convert a track (with dirt roads) into a route, the planner will alwaus choose normal roads, not dirt roads. What you can do if you want a route of your dirttrack, is to connect the shaping points as "Offroad" using the Toolkit

@Alex_850Rider I am not sure of your Location/Country but once you find your gravel/dirt roads very often the map will not show the full path of the Gravel/Dirt road. Taking Wolvens Lane (In the Surrey Hills) as an example the Here map only shows part of Wolvens Lane with a big chunk missing in the Middle. [image: 1697991125732-snapshot-22-10-2023-17-04-resized.jpeg] Once you are on the route itself you can then just follow the the actual gravel/dirt road in full.

@Jörgen Yes I am aware of that as personally I have no interest in CarPlay or Android Auto, but as you suggest it may be possible to work directly with my phone.

@Con-Hennekens Correct. I above all like the wonderwheel usage to zoom in/out. This requires no extra buttons at the handle bars, just the BT module which makes it even cheaper.

@Corjan-Meijerink, If you press a waypoint along the route, a window opens showing a picture when available, and the name plus the note for that waypoint. I think it would be fairly easy to add a line showing the distance the WP is from the start, and how far it is to the end. @Michael-Doherty-0, I am most curious to why, with your specific routes, it is more important to know how far you are from the start, then from the finish? Also I think when the setting "Show waypoint info" is on, it will display also the note in the top left infobox. if you are near it. You could use that, but I think any non-automatic method will not work, since deviations will always occur and the distance info is not accurate anymore.

I have never used that functionality but I seem to be very active in some groups Looks like all your messages on the forum are added to the groups that you subscribe to. However I fail to see the benefit in that.

@Rob-Verhoeff said in Huge journey time difference: @Tom-Loder There can indeed be differences in travel time. The route calculation is inherently different between Google and MRA (route engine). However, a one-hour difference does seem quite significant to me! Do you get these differences when you perform the route calculation, for example, using the TomTom map? Are you navigating based on a custom route with waypoints or an A-B route? This was a custom route with 4 waypoints. There was a very small difference , less than 5km, in the measured difference of the two routes
