I work with a VPN and sometimes my laptop "thinks" it is somwhere where I might want to be. As a solution, I made 2 favorites: thuis (home) is always my startingpoint and is 100 meters from my homeaddress thuiskomst (homecoming) and is always the end of a tour and is my real homeaddress I need to clicks to add them as a waypoint.

@Lenny-O in the webplanner go to Groups > searchbar > <search string> and then search. For example your province or town or motorcycle brand. Some groups are public. You’ll find out quick enough if you can enter the group. Search for a public group with a filter isn’t possible I believe.

As far as I know the achievement will count the moment that you start a track Log in another country. So 1km would be more than enough, not much of an achievement

Zoals Nick aangeeft, kun je in de toolit de transparantie van de routelijn beïnvloeden. Ik heb hem op 60% staan en daarmee zie je de lijn voldoende goed, maar ook de onderliggende straten.

@Eric-Colón-3-0, You're welcome. You can test all that from your couch, please take that advice too, instead of fumbling with it during your trip

@Brian-McG said: When I hear this I expect the baby will be thrown out with the bath water Why would you think that? Was that also your experience with Navigation Next when it superseded "Previous"? I have full confidence! (it just takes long... )

I've found that reliable GPX import/export support matters more than the specific GPS model. A device can have great hardware, but if it handles route recalculation differently from the planner, the experience can get frustrating pretty quickly. Testing with a few of your regular routes is usually the best way to judge compatibility.

That makes sense. Average speed calculations can vary a lot depending on whether stops and delays are included, so it's good to understand how the app handles it. It helps make route timing estimates a lot more realistic.

I like many others use booking.com as well as hotel.com for all of my hotel booking. I tend to book well in advance and it just gives me that security and ease of booking. Across the years I have built up my levels to where I get some decent prices. And when I say I book in advance I am just starting to book the 9 rooms a night I will need for your trip in June 2027.

Ok, let's hear another opinion Plan your route with enough waypoints Export the route in 1.2 format Transfer the route by cable/connector/wireless with drive/whatever to your XT and place the route in the GPX map Import the route Make the track visible on the map and make it wider Set recalculation off Start the route and enjoy

MRA Basic is actually pretty decent for simple route planning once you get used to the interface. I started with the free version too, and importing/exporting GPX files covered most of what I needed at first.

Yes. You get two new routers (part 1 and part 2) split there where you want the original route to split. You can name them separately and the original route still is there under it's own name

I Con, I’m enthusiastic about planning on my Mac and then using my I phone and aocchi to navigate on my journeys. Leaving St Malo when I started my holiday I obviously did not ‘go over’ the first mandatory waypoint as I didn’t start the system until away from the Port. I wonder if the system was hunting for that point, but even so wanting me off the dual carriageway to Rennes it then would immediately direct me to rejoin and keep heading south. Weird.

thanks On an unrelated point I always seem rubbish at searching for topics, this is not unique to MRA, it is me. I thought i had searched every varient of "what3words" on the forum and found nothing.
