@Mike-wiruth said in Need help, seems to be a bug in the app on pc: It would be cool if a pop up would tell you that or some way of telling you that. Agreed! A red 'X' on the 'direct-but-closed' route would educate users about how the routing algorithms sometimes work, and cause less confusion. The closure information obviously exists but it may not be easy to drag it up to the map level, it being hidden in the whole algorithm with a lot of other decision factors also in action. But if it could, rather than 'What the hell is going on!', it would be 'What the hell, that's smart.'

@Guzzist I feel I paid good money for a product and just want to understand it better, thats all! The more info a person can get the better a person can be. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, maybe I don't understand how MRA fully works yet. Maybe I though it was a product that it isn't. I don't know I just appreciate the feedback. I'm all for trying ideas, because thats more time spent on my bike! However I would like to have the confidence to plot a route across the USA and feel confident I will get there...This has not always been the case. I'm not quite there yet, however am willing to put in the time to get there and fully understand....

@Mike-wiruth, Like @Rainer-Treichel says, I just want to add that if you navigate tracks instead of routes, or use the "Navigate Route as Track" feature, it is advised to do that online. Doing that offline makes it less accurate.

It all depends on how want use your navigation. For me AA or ACP is the way to go. But the navigation must meets the demands of AA or ACP. My demands for navigation are low. Just drive a route without any interfering from my side (no manual skipping waypoints, etc). These demands are perfect for AA or ACP.

Unfortunately, this is no longer the case with many apps today. A so-called intuitive user interface is being developed. And all users just get started. And if there are problems, then you write in forums, Reddit, etc. and there are enthusiasts there to help. They do it for fun. So I'm glad that these enthusiasts are also helping so diligently here. Or often have to help because users are not used to helping themselves first. By READING! Because there is good documentation here in which the developers explain their approaches in detail and with lots of pictures. I think that should be rewarded by reading it. If you both have an MRA account, you can add the other person as a friend. If he does the same, you won’t need to share a link or anything — you’ll be able to view each other’s route files directly.

Hi All, Thnx all for the feedback. As I am new to MRA and the forum, I was waiting for the admin to approve the post :0). Then, I found all of your responses :0)). Sorry for that. If I use it as you suggested, "Use this Route", which format it will be. Will be able to see it on Zumo XT as is or modified through the phone. Thank you again. Best regards, Ibrahim

I think I can explain, because it bothers me too. If you create an blog and make it public, this doesn't work any longer! No one is able to find this blog! Since the new SW for the forum is in place, the old blog can't be reached any longer for other readers. But the new forum has the new category: "Travel stories". Only this category can be reached by other readers. Unfortunatelly, this new category "Travel stories" doesn't have the same functionality as the old section "Blog"! I can imagine - users, which are riding just Sunday afternoon - will/can write nice interesting stories. But longterm traveler like me will/can write a lot. And it's great to find everything you need for a long journey in one and the same app! This will may be also helpful for others, which intend to travel to the same region, and are going to gather more information. The section "Blog" is very important, because it's one of the USP (unique selling point) of the app. There are a lot other route planning apps on the market (which don'thave this). I fear, if MyRoute-App Team will reduce functionalities of the App, potential users may go away and purchase another app.

My current solution to avoiding friends having to register it to share my global map. From there, users can find routes and download them. Example given here: https://taarhaug.blogspot.com/2025/08/testing-embed-from-myrouteapp.html Thor
