By design free ride mode does not offer any camera warnings (apart from possibly small icons on the map) as they are unknown due to the lack of a route. What you request is currently not technically possible.

Hi Rob, thanks for that. Pilot error on my part. I was expecting the landing page to be the world map with the blue dots, because we wanted to look at some routes in Europe as well. However I have found it now. Thanks for your help.

@Lary said in Is there a way find out the time of a partular location on a tracklog.: I tried routeconvert. It gave lat and long but I didn't not see time. There are two occurrences of 'tracks'. The first one is the one you create in MRA Routeplanner. Based on a route you created earlier, you can save the route as track with type .gpx 1.1 (track, POI). These tracks don't have time stamps. The second one is the track you recorded in MRA Navigation while you were driving e.g. a route. These tracks have timestamps and elevation. Probably you have used the first one. Rules won't work that well. Beside that, you need a 24/7 moderator or moderator team to check every message posted here. And send out correctional matters to the writer of that topic. You won't escape from the fact that people are tending to reply in their own language. And beside all this, i haven't seen that much topics where someone started a topic a his/her own language and others reply in their own language. And even so, Google Translate is a good tool to translate someone's reply. And don't get me wrong here, but if your level of reading and understanding of English is at a poor level, it might be your own fault. Nowaday's everybody can read/write/speak English at a pretty good level due to English tv shows and movies and sitcoms etc. Maybe you should try to elevate your English language skills a bit more. Or just do what i do when a topic goes all over the globe regarding the use of language: skip it and don't pay any attention to it.

I like driving with a 8" screen and it seems to be the perfect size (for me). Depending on your liking you can think of a Android Auto device or a dedicated android tablet. Then you you think about a DMD, Hugherock, Samsung active tab 5 or other rugged (IP rated) device.

@Th-Lee Thank you Carl for this detailed explanation. I did try the option 3 via Tread and it worked ok on a very simple route - I would guess that if you were building something complicated then you might run into issues with Tread trying to second guess what you wanted. The tip about using the SD card for file storage is a good one. It's nice to have all your files on hand and available to be reloaded anytime when you're on tour and I wouldn't want them being messed with by the Zumo. I used the XT3 for the first time on Tuesday for a trip of about 200 miles and it worked well. The screen is super clear, bright, easy to read. I liked it. Compared with my old Zumo 660 this is a great leap forward and it is much faster and easier to create routes on the device than it ever was on the 660. That does open up some new possibilities for route planning, but I will still prefer to build on MRA first and transfer to the Garmin later. Thanks again for your help.

The TS exported the route to GPX 1.1. Maybe that is the issue for you?

Again I‘d like to know if there will be any chance that MRA will work with the BMW SyncBox like other controllers do? https://www.thorkracing.com/produto/dmd-bmw-sync-box/
