Michelin Maps within App Based MRA
-
This may have been asked/answered elsewhere but I've not been able to find it if it has.
At home, I use MRA on my MacBook via webpage to create/edit routes, I make extensive use of Michelin maps to do so.
But when I travel, I tend to take an iPad with me, rather than the MacBook, and I notice that within the MRA app for the iPad, you lose much of the functionality of the web based editor when using RoutePlanner. Basic functions are available, but really useful features like Michelin maps overlay, or even searching POI's don't seem to be available. (They are available in the app generally, but not within the RoutePlanner and arguably RoutePlanner is where these functions are most needed)
Are these features that could be reasonably easily added to the App version of MRA or is there a technical reason why they're not included already? If it's feasible, I'd love to see these type of improvements to the app based version.
(I know I can access the web page version from the iPad Browser, but on occasion cell signal is poor and makes web based access unworkable)

We might support more overlays in the future.
For now it is as it is. Main reason is the app is built around HERE whereas the website is not and HERE is just a part of the website -

@Frappawotsit happy to answer!
As MRA is also a passion for me, checking the forum on Sunday does not feel like work!

Would be a nice addition , to see the nice roads, and thus able to plan on it on the phone as well . I usually don't have a laptop with me when I am on a bike trip.
