Newbie Introducing Myself
-
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm new and my name is Mark, I'm a motorcyclist and I live in London.
I run a FaceBook group called Hampstead Motorcyclists and a small group of old farts like me that go for a tootle now and then, it's actually called "Old Farts On Motorcycles" I've also made the same group in MRA but don't have any members in it yet.
We are off for a ride from London to Worthing and back on the 11th (Fish and Chips on the beachfront), so I'll be putting the MRA to the test then.
I'm still on the MRA learning curve, so any advice is most welcome.
Bye for now, Cheers Mark

Hi Mark, welcome, you already made a group for the old farts, that is good
Invite all the old farts to your group
Also make for every ride an event and place the route in the event. Then invite the group.Ans if you have any questions, just ask them.

Welcome @Mark-Davies-1, I echo Hans’s comments, any questions, just ask. Enjoy your fishNchips.

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the MRA Community! I hope you have a great trip. As for questions and advice, you'll find that this community is most welcoming and very active.
As for tips and advice in using MyRoute-app, I have a general one: I've seen many clubs, groups and associations transition from whatever they used to use (for example BaseCamp) to MyRoute-app. For a lot of these clubs, the real benefit in MRA lies mostly with a handful of people who do all the planning, organizing and testing of routes. A benefit for these "organizers" is that by making your club part of a MRA group, you can have them download the routes specifically for their device. That way, no more sitting around converting routes manually or keeping long mailing lists. Additionally, more people can have access to the route.
Kind regards,
Timo

@Mark-Davies-1 - I saw your post regarding the app crashing and that you're planning to ride to Milan soon. I live in Milan and if I can help at all with information, routes, etc. please let me know. Enjoy your ride!
