Navigating live yesterday between start and finish points, with one waypoint between (No. 2). The navigation then started in a loop from and back to WPT 2. Confusing and irritating. Resorted to Google Maps to get to destination.

@Jeremy-Palmer I'm by no means an expert here, but I'm willing to bet it boils down to an exact placement (on the correct side of the road) of 2. In the pic, it looks to be pretty much in between the outbound and inbound path.

The placement of the waypoint is definitely the issue here 🙂

Do note that when using our app, there are quite some ways to easily skip a waypoint 😉

@Corjan-Meijerink thank you for your reply.
Skipping a WPT mid-ride is only an option when you realise something is wrong. You have to stop, take gloves off, etc, etc. Not convenient. So to go via a WPT (which is the reason WPTs are plotted), I’m guessing I have to be sure it’s on the correct side of the road. Is that correct?
            Thank you again for replies.

@GT-JWR spot on! I’ve just replaced the WPT into the correct (outbound) side of the carriageway after the round-a-bout, and the loop has gone.
              Thanks so much 👍🙏

I am not sure if you would be unable to "hit" a waypoint if it is on the other side of a splitted road. But what I do know is that you want to check the WPs after you planned a route, to ensure that no loops are draw while navigating. You want to avoid that mess...

Skipping a WP is done by tap and hold the top right icon in your navigation screen (only when actually navigating a multi WP route). It is wise to:

                • have a phone-screen that accepts gloved fingers
                • have gloves that mimic fingertips (these are quite common nowadays)
                • In my gloves I have stitched a few ups and downs of stainless steel threads on the fingertips. That works beautifully 😉
