Feature request: Show my routes on map
-
Would be great to have a map view of my own routes shown on a map, like https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/library/countries.
Perhaps that page can actually be extended with a filter to show only my routes, my friends routes?
Would be nice addition.
Thanks! -

Your request sounds similar to https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/2082/nearby-routes-option-suggestion?_=1704447841681

I think this request, together with an improvement of POI and Favorites functions, is the most desired request from MRA Planner users.
I cannot imagine that this wish will not be heeded in the 'announced' improvements. I'm really looking forward to it. -

Like this?

I would say, more like this: -
+1, I miss this option a lot.

+1
But i guess the amount of routes in the library is to big for this kind of option.
Maybe it can be made visible from certain zoom level. -
@Jack-van-Tilburg
Dat kan al, alleen nog niet met 1 klik Maar ik geloof wel dat dit mogelijk gemaakt gaat worden, dus nog even geduldBeetje druk....

@Rolf-Aalders
Or this, with a mouse over the route/ track will be visible..
-
@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master Jaaa, dat zou toch geweldig zijn!! Naast de routes ook (eigen) POI’s zichtbaar kunnen maken

I would actually prefer the view Jack van Tilburg proposed. When the route only shows when you hover your mouse over the route, you still do not have a good view on the route... I would have a lot of routes near my home town, so a lot of icons would show up near that spot, giving me no clue which icon represents which route. That is not really nice.The view Jack proposes immediately tells me what is available in the environment that I'm searching for. It also gives me a clue about which directions, how long the ride will be, which places will be touched upon, winding/straight, etc, etc. Much more useful.
Since it is restricted to my routes only (or the routes of my friends) this view will not get cluttered too much, I think.
Thanks!!

@Rolf-Aalders I don't mind either approach but I'd like to be able to define the folder(s) that the routes are selected from to be displayed and be able to "add" one or more of the visible route options to the routes section of the map I'm currently working on.

I would say, more like this:Ja genau das vermisse ich für eine schnelle Übersicht.!! Das war mir in BC so vertraut. VG ️

For me it is (unfortunately) a reason why I regularly return to BC. Each route can also be corrected in this view.
And of course the management of POIs in BC. That's still a winner.
But for the majority of my planning I definitely use MRA Planner. -

at present i am using both apps, BC is especially useful for multi day rides, once all complete and amended as needed, i will then move all the routes over to MRA.
this does seem convoluted, but until I can see all routes together it is a way i have to do it.BTW it's not a criticism.

@paul69 Creating routes for others, use of BC is really a non-starter. (Also, I don't like it! ) I tend to create the daily maps in MRA on the web then load each of them in, one at a time, using the add route function, to the overall plan.
Generally, I know where I will be starting each day from and where I will end up. What I'd like to do is have the option to highlight existing routes that are "near" (as defined by map zoom) to what I already have plotted so that I can either include or avoid them as required.

If you create routes (for yourself or others) for several days departing from one location, it is nice if you can prevent several (too often) trips along the same road. In an overview with all routes, which can also be edited, you can then make adjustments to prevent this.

I am looking forward to that new planner roadmap (in the hope that they actually do what they promise this time);
For Next, I think there is only one major problem left and that is the battery drain issue (and it needs resolving soon as everybody agrees).
After hthat, focus could be on the planner and the many suggestions made here to improve that thing.
