MRA Navigation and Siri
-
Anyone know if Siri works with MRA navigation? If so what commands can be used?
-
@Michael-Rhys this is not supported yet.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink Would be a nice option
-
@Marco-7v, it would, but how good is voice recognition in a helmet while driving on a motorbike?
-
@Con-Hennekens Inderdaad, hoe goed zou dat zijn. Zolang mijn Lane Departure Warning System nog niet functioneel is, houd ik de beide handen maar goed aan het stuur en de blik op de weg

@Con-Hennekens Natural voice recognition has come a long ways as part of Cardo/Sena communicators. Especially Cardo. It's so good, I ride almost hands free for many functions. I control music and phone calls using Siri commands, and it works almost all the time. I say "almost" because occasionally I have to repeat, but it's rare. inRoute (another phone app) integrates Siri into it's system. Here are the commands it supports:
Start Current Route: “Hey Siri, Start route”
Skip a Waypoint: “Hey Siri, Skip waypoint”
End Current Route: “Hey Siri, End route”
Repeat Instruction: “Hey Siri, Repeat instruction”
What’s My ETA: “Hey Siri, What’s My ETA?”I've used the skip waypoint and end route commands. They work.

@John-S-Parry do you know if that works the same in Android using Bixby
-
@John-S-Parry, Great if it works that well. I would opt for a "Hey Google, undo the last auto skip" ;-). Or the more generic "Hey Google, continue the route from waypoint 17"

@Con-Hennekens Having Siri (or Google) commands for navigation functions is OK, but when I'm using inRoute, I don't use them often. The commands they provide have limited value (to me). I do like the 2 that you suggested. Those would be great adds to any product.
