@Corjan-Meijerink Op mijn GPSMap276Cx was het ook enkel een beep. Dit is ruim voldoende. Er wordt veel te veel gesproken. Op mijn XT heb ik daarom de spraak uitgeschakelt. Dus keuze tussen beep en spraak of niets lijk mij uitstekend.

Met blijdschap kan ik vertellen dat in de komende update dit een toegevoegde feature is Als het een beetje mee zit komt deze morgen / vrijdag, ik ga morgen een uitgebreide test rit rijden!

Did a little tour with the navigation system today, to test the beep and the announcements. When I plan a tour, I usually enter the start and end point and let the system insert additional waypoints. Reaching these additional Waypoints I get the message "Sie haben Ihr Zwischenziel erreicht, es befindet sich auf der rechten Seite". I do not need that. Replacing that information with a beep is absolutely great. But I don't want to loose the instructions When the next turn is coming or how to exit the roundabout. OK, it was said that the only alternatives are to replace all instructions with beeps or none. Making it possible in a later update only to replace the additional waypoints added by the system with a beep, that would be the top solution.

There is a setting to (not) display waypoints and viapoints. Maybe the audio could follow the same setting?

@Ronni @Herko-ter-Horst There already is a preference to not include shapingpoints / viapoints in voice prompts! If you turn that off, the notifications will also disappear.

Edit: if turned off, no beeps are played too when that is preferred (when reaching shaping / viapoints)

@Corjan-Meijerink ah you're right. I had a brief look earlier and somehow thought that was for visuals, but it's indeed for voice prompts. So that should solve Ronni's problem, I think.

Hi, I noticed yesterday also the that voice commands a little too much or too early. I got a command to take the first exit in a roundabout 8km in advance and then three times again.
I am older, I can't remember what was said 8km before.

Joke, what I want to say, this information is not useful at that time.
Fewer commands are welcome.

So, I'm just back from a little tour, testing the different settings: with / without Beeps, with / without n announcements, with / without via and shaping points ....
I'm totally impressed, so many options and all the settings worked great and did what they were supposed to.
I can only repeat what many have already written here in the forum: Well done, you all are doing a GREAT job.

Ik heb toch nog een voorstel voor spraakinstructie: Ik ben super blij met de spraakinstructie, maar het noemen van de straatnamen is echt te veel. Ik zou heel graag een knop hebben om die uit te zetten. Ik heb de afgelopen maand in Finland, de baltische staten en Polen rondgereden. De straatnamen zijn daar heel lang. Ik heb de instructies op 3 of 2 keer staan. 3 keer is voor mij perfect, maar dan is de app in steden vrijwel continu aan het praten. Stopt halverwege, om opnieuw te beginnen. Naast dat ik in die steden mijn aandacht bij het verkeer moet hebben, leidt het enorm af. Ook begint de navigatie ook achter te lopen. Instructie komt dan pas als ik op de kruising ben. Dus heel graag toch een klop om de straatnamen af te zetten.

@Corjan-Meijerink Ik heb boven je tekst gelezen dat het alles of niets is met de spraakinstructies. Dat is best wel jammer. Maar je weet nooit, Misschien kan er intussen meer. Ik probeer het gewoon nog een keer. Bij deze wil ik graag mijn bovenstaande post een schopje. Als de straatnamen er af kunnen met de spraakinstructies ben ik super blij.

In het Audio-menu kan je het aantal gesproken instructies ook beperken tot minimaal 1 en maximaal 4 gesproken aanwijzingen per instructie.
Piepje klinkt als een leuke suggestie. Ik ben ook meer van alleen navigeren op het scherm. De piep is dan een leuke reminder om weer even op het scherm te gluren!

Als de mogelijkheid er had geweest zou ik ook kiezen voor de optie zonder straatnamen. Verder vind ik de instructies fijn, maar de straatnamen vind ik totaal niet interessant.
