@Albert-van-den-Elsen Could you elaborate on "drops out"?

The radio should be slightly dimmed and when the voice instruction is done, the radio volume should be turned back up.

I tested it today with CarPlay Spotify + NavNext voice instructions and that works as described above

I'm sorry to tell but the MRA Navigation beeps every time the voice instruction comes on. Then my Radio goes on silent and does not come back active.

What radio app are you using with CarPlay? I’ll investigate

In combination with Flitmeister, Sygic, Waze I have no problem at all. Of course the volume decreases a bit, but after the road instructions is gone the volume increases again to the previous setting. If I turn off the spoken voice instruction the radio stays on.

Please note: Navigation Next itself does not yet run on CarPlay.

I am really looking forward to your answer tomorrow. This evening I drove home using Spotify on CarPlay with Navigation Next and it worked flawlessly (regarding dimming the audio)

Update:

I find out what the problem is.
It has nothing to do with Navigation Next.
My Pioneer Radio causes the problem.
When I turn on Spotify, Digital Radio on my iPhone or other audio player on my iPhone or Appple CarPlay Audio app everything goes well.
When I turn on my DAB+ Radio everythime before a nav instruction starts I hear a short beep and the radio turns off.
Hereby I'll close this ticket.

Not saying that the issue can now be closed but it confirms that we did stuff the right way. It can really be that the other device causes an issue and we have no control over that.

Will continue research at a later moment but it drops a bit on my long list of requirements / requests

Really appreciate your follow-up! Without that, stuff becomes more difficult for us tot tackle. Getting the right info is crucial
