Een echt nieuwe gebruiker ben ik niet maar op t forum denk ik wel 
Ik maak al enkele jaren routes met MRA maar ik zou nu eindelijk eens willen weten wat ik fout doe. Op mra zie ik mijn viapunten welke ik een naam geef. Maar tijdens de rit komt dat niet op het scherm

Hallo Yolande, zet even een route openbaar, dan kan ik deze bekijken, ik vermoed dat je geen viapunten hebt gebruikt.
@yolande-de-moor Ik ben het eens met wat @Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Meester zegt. Denk er alstublieft aan om uw route openbaar te maken. Het zou helpen om zeker te zijn van wat er gebeurt.
Wanneer een bestand wordt overgebracht van Routeplanner naar een XT (met behulp van het specifieke .gpx 1.2 formaat), worden de vormpunten niet op het apparaat weergegeven. Waarschijnlijk omdat Garmin, in hun wijsheid, besloten heeft het zo te hebben, ondanks vele jaren van apparaten die ze vertonen. Echter, de vormpunten die u in Routeplanner hebt gemaakt zijn aanwezig en uw XT zal ze volgen.
Tenzij je die waypoints vooral wilt of nodig hebt, kun je toch doorgaan. Als u ze wilt zien, is het enige wat we kunnen doen om ze allemaal te veranderen in routeplanner en de gewijzigde route opnieuw in uw XT.

In essence, what I was trying to say is… It’s ok! XT doesn’t show shaping points, but they are there and will be followed. Change them to via points if it’s necessary to see them! 
If you use the gpx 1.1, you will also see the shaping points in your XT in the form of a circle, these are not listed. The via points (hands) are mentioned.

@jack-van-tilburg Thank you. I had it wrong about the XT. From looking at various posts on problems with sending files to it, I managed to get the impression that MRA .gpx 1.2 exists because MRA .gpx 1.1 would not work with the XT. I couldn’t get my head around why that should be, but let it pass. That blog went some way to sorting my wrong impression out.
I still don’t know entirely why .gpx 1.2 exists, to be honest. But that is of absolutely no consequence whatsoever. I’m happy to leave it that way!
